Installation Procedure For AutoMold 14 TO DOWNLOAD DEMO FROM THE INTERNET. 1.) Go to www.cadmaster.com. 2.) Choose DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE 3.) Choose “Click here to download demo”. In click on This will download AM14INST.EXE to an empty folder of your choice on your hard disk. AM14INST.EXE CONTAINS 1.8 MEG OF DATA SO THIS MAY TAKE A FEW MINUTES. 4.) In EXPLORER find AM14INST.EXE and double click on it to bring up WINZIP SELF EXTRACTOR 5.) In WINZIP SELF EXTRACTOR change the path and folder to an empty folder that will store the results of unzipping AM14INST.EXE. (there are 10 files that will be extracted to this empty folder). 6.) Now run setup.exe from this new folder by double clicking on it. This brings up the AutoMold installation dialog box. After reading the information click . 7.) Choose the drive and folder you want to install AutoMold into. (We suggest “C:\AMOLD14”). Then click . 8.) When you are asked if you want the program to modify your Autoexec.bat click on . If you choose “NO” you will have to modify your Autoexec.bat by hand later. AutoMold 14 won’t run if the Autoexec.bat isn’t modified. NotePad is loaded and a text file (called Readme.txt) explains the changes that are made to the Autoexec.bat. (You may want to print out this file for future reference) . 9.) REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER (so the information you just put into the Autoexec.bat can be read by your computer). 10.) Load AutoCAD 14. If “AUTOMOLD” isn’t showing on your AutoCAD top menu bar you will have to load the “Amold14.mnu” file from C:\amold14 folder. BE CERTAIN TO LOAD THE AMOLD14.MNU AND NOT THE AMOLD14.MNC FILE. 11.) Say “yes” to the Template Dialog Box and the AutoMold menu file will be loaded and now AutoMold will be the last choice in your AutoCAD top menu bar. Start a new file use “start from scratch “ from the Setup Wizard. 12.) Choose go to end of the list to bottom of the list will say “C:\AMOLD14\PRINTER,TXT”. This is the file where the information that you want to be printed out will be stored. 13.) Press enter. Press Page UP to get to the first line of the list and press enter again. Choose Save Changes and then choose Continue press ENTER. Say “YES” to do you want a print out and press ENTER. Choose the mold base that you want (Demo will only allow one choice). Make choices as directed. Choose “yes” to Display Mold Base On Screen? The four views of the mold base will appear on the graphics screen. 14.) To get a print out of the mold Base Bill of Materials open WORD PAD. To do this pick as follows . C:\AMOLD14\PRINTER.TXT . Send file to your printer. 15.) Choose other items from the AUTOMOLD MENU AND EXPERIMENT WITH THEM . The menu is self explanatory and simple to use. Items drawn on a Hidden layer will be drawn as hidden entities. Those drawn on a visible layer will be drawn as a section. To Print out informationfrom the TEXT SCREEN. (A.) Use F2 key to flip screen. (B.) With your mouse highlight the text that you want to print. (C.) Pick this sends the highlighted text to the CLIPBOARD. (D.) Open WordPad as described in (step 14.) and paste the information from the clipboard into WordPad. (E) Print the file. 16.) Use AutoMold on-line help to see the full power of AutoMold 14 and to understand any thing that may puzzle you. 17.) The HoleChart dimensioning & the AutoDatum dimensioning program will put letters in place of the correct numbers while the program is running as a DEMO. 18.) To convert the DEMO into a full Package just call Cadmaster, Inc. at 401-434-2970 and we will talk you through the process, which take less than 5 minutes. The file C:\AMOLD14\INSTR14.TXT is an electronic form that tells you how to get the information to register AutoMold 14 as a full package. 19.) AutoMold 14 is always shipped as a demo & must always be registered with Cadmaster before it can be turned into a full package.
